This is the honest answer to “who actually holds XRP”: the top of the list is mostly exchange custody — one wallet holding for millions of customers — plus Ripple's escrow accounts. Labels come from our verified exchange-wallet set; balances refresh daily (last 2026-07-29).
Method: full `ledger_data` walk of ledger #105885632 (2026-07-28), counting each account's spendable Balance field. Escrowed XRP (including Ripple's ~32B), issued assets, and AMM/LP positions are not wallet balances and are excluded — so is anything on an exchange under someone else's key. “Funded wallet” means an address holding the ~1 XRP reserve, not a person: one person can hold many wallets, and one custodial wallet can hold for millions. The distribution re-censuses about twice a week; percentiles between censuses shift by less than the rounding shown.
